Who We Are
Founders of One Day in Peace and the OneDay Holiday

• Robert Muller, former United Nations Assistant Secretary-General, working under three Secretaries- General, is perhaps the UN's best-known peacemaker. Author of 19 books, he is Chancellor Emeritus of the University for Peace in Costa Rica.
• Robert Silverstein, author of more than 30 children's science books, devoted four years of his life to creating and promulgating One Day in Peace January 1, 2000.
• Linda Grover, legislative aide in the 83rd and 84th Congress, is the author of three books on the healing power of celebration, and a former network television drama head writer. She created the Millennium Meal Project and is co-founder of the OneDay Holiday.
• Representative John Conyers, Jr., Democrat of Michigan, Dean of the Congressional Black Caucus, Sponsor of the Martin Luther King Holiday, ranking member, House Judiciary Committee, is co-founder of the OneDay Holiday.
